A semi-autobiography. The majority of this novel was inspired by the choices and the life I lived in my early twenties. At the moment of writing this, I am just a month shy of my 27th birthday.
Locked up, James has no choice but to face the consequences of his actions. Since his adolescence, he had been the one to take care of his mother and family. Now he’s useless to them, even worse, he is the reason for their pain. The guilt eats him up inside. The guilt of hurting the people he loves the most, breaks his heart, but the guilt of hurting the strangers the night of his arrest, breaks his soul. Together with an unlikely friend named Red, both need to learn to let go of their past and addiction or suffer the faith of many of those around them.
Dedicated to all those who have lost their lives or a loved one to addiction.
Still in the making.
Untitled Poetry Book
I am inspired to become a great poet like Pablo Neruda and Walt Whitman, just to name a couple. I am in the works of creating a poetry book that will illustrate my life in a deeper manner, one that will connect with many across the world. My goal in writing this book is to connect with readers that have or currently are going through their own struggles and are able to relate to my poems. I seek to inspire with my poems and prove that the fight in each and everyone of them is still not over, they will achieve their dreams.
It will be divided into six sections:
Return to Maryland
and, Reborn a writer.
Each representing a different phase in my life. Each offering something for everyone.
